Visiting the Association for Science Education conference?

Details of the kit used during the workshop and the supporting booklet have now been added.

If you are we would love to see you at exhibition stand A41, where there will be an opportunity to chat to staff from the Centre about your school or college development of STEM – and how we may be able to offer support through resources and guidance.

For those of you looking for something to brighten up post-festive week, our session with Pete Robinson on Thursday morning could be useful (9.30-10.30am, Sir Alistair Pilkington building, room 107).

Entitled ‘Using toys and gizmos to support motivational learning’, we’ll be looking at (and playing with) simple hands-on gadgets that can be used to engage students - from sonic listening kits to a Crookes' radiometer (pictured above), Jumping poppers, solar powered toys and a dozen more resources.

Details of the kit used during our workshop will be posted here in a future blog, and of course all of the electronic resources we'll be highlighting are available by searching the eLibrary.

We look forward to seeing some of you at conference, and best wishes for the new year.

Jenifer
