There doesn't seem to be a 'How to use the groups' section - or am I just not seeing it?
The add a topic button at the bottom of the screen is confusing members of my groups.

How do I add favourite items to my public list?(5 replies)

Hi, On my public profile there is an area called 'List'. Can I put my favourite resources there so that I can ask other people to look at a resource? (I know how to add items to my private dashboard/profile.)

I tried to fill in the on line questionnaire , but you really have to be a teacher in a school as many of the questions relate to this. Can you add an intro to your advert that says do you teach in a school?

You may share a varety of media files, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and video in a group. Media may be added as part of a message, or directly into the 'Media' section for your group. All the media uploaded with messages will automatically be added under the 'Media' tab.

Is it possible to have more than one person as group leader? How can I invite someone in my group to be a co-leader, so that they can also invite people to join the group?

ViewYes, other colleagues may be added as group leaders easily. Please email your group support link who will do this for you.

If you would like to set up a community group please contact an Administrator at the National STEM Centre using the 'Suggest a group' link on your dashboard.

We will then get in touch with you to confirm the type of group you would like, who will be your group leader(s), and so on.
Once a group has been set up, the group leader may invite community members to join.
The group structure is flat - it is not possible to set up a 'group within a group', but -

The community area has several different types of groups to serve different purposes.

All members of the community are automatically members of 'General' groups such as this one.
Any member of the community may choose to join an 'Open' group.
Membership of 'Closed' groups is monitored by the group leader(s) - send them a request if you would like to join a Closed group, but please note the groups may be Closed for a particular reason or period of time,

How are messages in the community moderated?(0 replies)

Messages from group members are not moderated before they are shared with the group. This keeps discussion within a group immediate.
