Throughout 2010/11 the National STEM Centre in partnership with the NCETM funded schools to work collaboratively across at least two STEM departments to share curriculum knowledge and pedagogy. The resulting case studies are now on the National STEM Centre website or available in a publication titled 'Working Together'. To find the case studies on the website go to the STEM tab and locate 'Case Studies' in the left hand menu.

I have recently stepped into the moderator's chair at Intel's "skoool Maths and STEM community" website which I believe has some interesting materials on offer and which provides an international forum for exchange between educators interested in the relationship between mathematics education and the wider STEM agenda. http://inteledcentre.co.uk/community/skoool-maths-and-stem-community. New STEM club help needed(3 replies)

Hi I have recently moved to a new school and we have just had a new build finished. I am hoping to start a new STEM club now the building work is finished and was wondering if anyone had some good ideas for an activity to introduce the club to the school

ViewMy advice would be to get as many people involved to help you as possible. This will take the pressure off you to come up with something every week. Also find some funding from somewhere, running a club can start to become expensive for your department if you decide to do some of the more adventurous activities and in the current climate money is an important factor. It is worth all the effort though when you see how involved the pupils get. Good luck
