Nuffield Primary Science: Students’ Books (Ages 5 – 7)
The students' books were intended to supplement classroom work but not to replace practical work. The books were generally not essential for the activities outlined in the Teachers' Guides.
Contents
Each book consists of 11 double-page spreads which are highly illustrated and colourful. Features of the books include:
• Stimulus spreads to raise questions, arouse curiosity and promote discussion
• Information spreads with a variety of secondary source material
• Activity ideas to form the basis for investigations
• Cross-curricula spreads with stories and poems, some with an historical or creative focus
• Examples of the applications of science in everyday life.
