Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council
This collection of resources from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) contains materials for enhancing the teaching of biological science and 'how science works' in primary and secondary schools.
BBSRC is one of seven Research Councils sponsored through the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills and invests around £336 million per annum in the biosciences. BBSRC is the UK’s principal funder of basic and strategic biological research and funds some of the most exciting areas of contemporary science including nanotechnology, stem cell biology, bioenergy, food safety, diet and health, and animal health and welfare.
