Employer Engagement
Produced by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), these case studies describe work done by practitioners focusing on engaging employers with STEM teaching and learning in order to develop courses and materials that effectively meet employers’ needs and arm students with relevant, up to date industry knowledge.
The projects, drawn from organisations across the FE and skills sector, explore a variety of approaches to working with employers, including:
• Industry placements for lecturers
• Curriculum development
• Work-based learning
• STEM in vocational subjects
• Developing innovative technologies.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
