CREST Awards help school students to undertake projects in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) related areas. Students' achievements can be recognised with awards at bronze, silver and gold levels.

The resources in this section contain a series of project ideas that can be used to gain CREST Awards. They look at the application of STEM in areas such as sports equipment, sustainable transport and cleaning technology. Bronze awards are suitable for students at Key Stage Three, whilst gold awards offer extended and independnet work for post-16 students.

HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
