STEMNET creates opportunities to inspire young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Resources help young people to develop their creativity, problem-solving and employability skills. STEMNET helps encourage young people to be well informed about STEM career opportunities and to engage fully in debate about STEM-related issues.

STEMNET works principally with schools and colleges, helping young people and their teachers access a range of STEM enhancement and enrichment opportunities including STEM Clubs, links with STEM Ambassadors and activities featured in the STEM Directories.

Such enrichment opportunities provide contexts for learning, bring people with STEM skills into the classroom and provide resources for STEM curriculum activities. By working with local experts, STEMNET can provide tailored advice and assistance quickly and easily to schools and colleges across the UK.
