Mathematics
These resources are from the archives of the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) which maintained and developed the National Curriculum and associated assessments, tests and examinations, advising the Secretary of State for Education on these matters. In May 2010, the Secretary of State announced his intention to promote legislation that would abolish QCDA.
The National Curriculum for Mathematics was introduced into England, Wales and Northern Ireland as a nationwide curriculum for primary and secondary state schools following the Education Reform Act 1988. The National Curriculum went hand in hand with the development of national tests, SATs, at the end of the Key Stages. This development eventually came under the remit of the QCDA.
The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCDA's predecessor) was formed on 1 October 1997 through a merger of the National Council for Vocational Qualifications (NCVQ) and the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority (SCAA). The National Assessment Agency (NAA) took over the role of the delivery and administration of National Curriculum assessments from QCA in 2003.

Quality and Assessment Tests
This collection contains the Key Stage One Statutory Assessment Tests with the associated markschemes for 2003 and 2004, the Statutory Assessment Tests with associated markschemes for Key Stages Two and Three from 2003 to 2009, the Year Seven progress tests and the Optional Materials for National Curriculum level eight.
Support Materials
This collection contains a wide range of support materials from the QCA. This includes the Early Years Foundation Stage handbook, support for using P scales, a review of teacher assessment, support materials for those doing the linked pair of GCSEs and Engaging Mathematics for all learners.
