Polynomials
The first of three RISP activities exporing polynomials, The Gold and Silver Cuboid requires students to find a connection between the volume of a cuboid, the surface area and the edge length. The second part of the activity asks students to find the maximum and minimum volume of a cuboid gives certain constraints.
Venn Diagrams is a task whereby students are given a Venn diagram and asked to find a quadratic function for each region of the Venn diagram.
Remainders requires students to test and prove a conjecture using the remainder theorem.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
