Year Five Weekly Plans
These weekly plans for Year Five from the Hamilton Trust give a series of daily lessons on place value, knowing what a digit represents in five and six figure numbers, comparing and ordering numbers up to one million.
Further lessons cover drawing lines to the nearest centimetre and millimetre, measuring lines accurately, measuring and calculating the perimeter of regular and irregular shapes and using a formula to find the the area of a rectangle.
These plans, which complement the autumn term teaching sequences, have differentiated activities and expected outcomes.
