Chapter 8 Examples of Curriculum Resources
This chapter in the booklet Relevant and Engaging Statistics and Data Handling from the Royal Statistical Society Centre for Statistical Education (RSSCSE) gives examples of resources that can be used with the CensusAtSchool data. The examples are:
• Playing by numbers
• Hanging out the data
• What a funny looking graph!
• A modal pupil
• How tall will you be?
• The lost labels
• Do we need to ask everyone?
• Box plots
• You are the Investigator
• The Vitruvian theory – does it apply to you?
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
