Coins and Dice
This probability simulator from Subtangent allows experiments with coins and dice to be performed quickly.
Students can choose from seven options, including whether to use one coin or two, one or two dice or a combination of both.
The simulation displays the results of the experiments but does not summarise them which means that it would be beneficial for students to record the results themselves, in a tally chart, as they appear on the screen.
When rolling dice, individual totals or combined scores using either addition or multiplication can be collected.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
