Frames, Forces and Structures
A series of cross-curriculum lessons, from BLOODHOUND SSC, on building frames and structures and the effects forces may have on them. BLOODHOUND SSC must be as light as possible if the thrust is to propel it to record speeds in the short time available. It must also be very strong to withstand the forces involved.
The resource provides the teacher with three lessons which include starters and main activities and a set of homework activities. Together, these contribute to learning for the Engineering Diploma.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
