Activity 4: Are Animal Experiments Painful?
This Nuffield Council on Bioethics investigates the levels of severity of procedures. It also investigates the ways in which data is collected during animal experiments. Students are asked to work in groups or as a whole class to develop skills in analysing information to build an argument. The resource includes a lesson plan for the teacher.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
