This document from the Department for Education refers to the provision of information, advice and guidance (IAG) for young people. IAG covers a range of activities and interventions that help young people to become more self-reliant and better able to manage their personal and career development, including learning. The standards are intended to help raise the overall quality of provision.

Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
