Year Six Weekly Plans
These weekly plans, in Word format, from the Hamilton Trust for Year Six are broken down into daily lesson plans. During week one of the autumn term the differentiated activities cover the revision of ordering numbers and place value, knowing what each digit represents in a number with up to two decimal places.
The lesson plans for week two are about estimating the area of an irregular shape by counting squares, calculating the perimeter of simple compound shapes, and splitting compound shapes into rectangles to calculate their area.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
