Practice Book 3b
These materials, produced by the Centre for Innovation in Mathematics Teaching (CIMT), for the primary extension of the Mathematics Enhancement Programme, include the pages from Practice Book 3b with detailed lesson plans and all necessary resources to accompany them. It follows on from Practice Book 3a.
Students are introduced to decimal notation and learn to estimate calculations by rounding to 10 or 100. They work with 3D shapes and are introduced to the terminology for vertices, edges and faces, as well as developing their understanding of transformations.
There are daily lesson plans covering weeks 17 to 35 and each plan is complete with teacher and student activities, together with key questions and references to the pages in the practice book.
