This STEMNET video shows the process of auditioning 16 STEM Ambassadors hoping to take part in a series of Teachers TV films profiling their work experience. The 16 finalists were challenged to enthuse and engage the panel of judges, a group of schoolchildren, with a five-minute activity.

The video gives introduces the project, some the finalists and illustrates their background in STEM. Each one talks about the importance of being a STEM Ambassador for them and what they feel they have to offer students.

The videos contained in this collection illustrate the work of the following STEM Ambassadors:
• Charlotte Bailey: Trainee Plant Analyst
• Chris Styles: Applications Engineer
• Faye Cashman: Spacecraft Engineer
• Graham Gannon: Entrepreneur
• Leo Garcia: PhD Student at the Institute of Cancer Research
• Sheila Kanani: Planetary Scientist

HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
