Improving Teaching and Learning in Science
Produced by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), this video introduces techniques that can be used to improve teaching and learning in science. This, and the other materials in the series, look at planning for variety in teaching and learning, gaining from technology and promoting discussion in science. These key themes are explored by teachers who show how the techniques can be applied to develop an understanding of scientific concepts in their learners.
The accompanying materials in the series look separately at applications in chemistry, physics and biology.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
