Animal Experimentation
Produced by the new economics foundation (nef), this resource contains activities that help students to discuss and understand the issues around the use of animals for research. The materials contain teacher guidance, student information and a range of activities that promote discussion and debate. Students consider the types of experiments, range of animals and reasons for their use, before arriving at recommendations to make to the Government or other decision-makers.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
