Build a Roundhouse
From the Young Archaeologists' Club, this activity looks at the design and construction of a stone age roundhouse. Students use board, dowel, twigs and clay to make a wattle and daub construction. The activity can be used to look at design, the use of materials and even to compare ancient building techniques with modern ones.
These resources have been contributed by the Young Archaeologists' Club (YAC). YAC is for young people who love archaeology and all things historic. Teachers can join YAC as a School member to receive great teaching ideas.
