Liza Brooks: Technical Director (True Snowboards)
In this Careers4u.tv video, Liza Brooks describes how she became a world expert in snowboard design and technology and the Technical Director of True Snowboards Ltd.
Liza describes her interest in science and design technology at school and how failing her AS level subjects led her to study for a National Diploma in engineering. She followed this up by taking a mechanical engineering degree, during which she made a detailed study of snowboard design.
Liza talks about the various materials that are used to make a snowboard and the theory behind snowboard design. As nobody else has studied snowboards in as much detail or for as long, Liza is a world expert in their design.
