This Nuffield 13 - 16 module is one for the start of the three-year programme. This B unit provided enough material for six double periods in the third year of secondary school (year nine). The teachers’ guide included six worksheets to supplement the students’ booklet.

Contents
1. What can we find out through our senses?
2. Are there limits to what your senses can detect?
3. S-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g your senses?
4. Sixth sense?
5. How sensitive are you?
6. Interpreting the message

HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.

Some good experiments for testing the senses, some that I had forgotten about.
