Deep Cells
Produced by the London Gifted & Talented, this is a web-based resource that allows students to learn about cells, cell structure and cell function. The resource aims to help students understand that the survival of all cells depends on energy, and the linked processes of respiration and nutrition. It aims to show that in multicellular organisms, this involves the co-ordinated function of tissues, organs and organ systems.
The resource contains teacher notes, activity sheets, questions, video clips and interactive animations. Topics covered include:
• Amoeba - single celled organism
• Heart
• Lungs
• Blood
• Gut
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
