Money and Measure Activities for Students Aged 9-11
A selection of resources, published by BEAM, for teachers of primary mathematics. It includes challenging problems and puzzles, open-ended investigations, cross-curricular activities, and resources to practise and consolidate students' mathematical understanding.
The activities, with their mathematical content, are:
• Tangram area - finding areas of shapes using decimals
• 50p coins problem - working out change
• Coins - finding out what money values can be made with two or three coins.

Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
