Who's in My Team?
This activity, from Planet Science, encourages students to collaborate, communicate and work as a team as well as developing their research and presentation skills. Students carry out a piece of social science research in the form of a survey to find out their peers’ opinions on a scientific topic, and work as a team to gather the data. Some class time (for researching and discussing the topic) can be used but it is best carried out as an on-going extra-curricular activity involving the whole school, assemblies, break and form time over a couple of weeks. Students can present their findings to the whole school.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
