Bringing Science to Life with ICT
Produced by Becta, these case studies illustrate how information communication technology (ICT) can be used to enhance teaching and learning in science. This case study looks at how two schools enabled students to observe reactions too hazardous to perform in the classroom.
One activity was a video and animation of combining iron and sulfur to produce iron sulfide. The other used an interactive heart piece of software to allow students to explore heart function.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
