2004 Key Stage One Tests
These resources from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) are the level two and level three Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs) from 2004.
The level two test was intended to be used with all students judged by the teacher to have attained level two in mathematics through teacher assessment or those students who achieved very highly on all parts of the level one task.
The level three test was for students who were judged to be working at or above level three in mathematics through teacher assessment. Students who attained level 2A on the level two test could also be entered for the level three test.
The materials include:
■ a level two test booklet
■ a level three test booklet
■ administration and marking instructions contained within the teacher’s guide.
There are two parts to each test. The first part comprises five questions which were to be read aloud by the teacher. The second part comprises up to 23 written questions. The questions in each test have been ordered approximately by their degree of difficulty. Questions assessing using and applying mathematics are identified within the mark scheme for each test.
