2003 Key Stage Three Statutory Assessment Tests
This resource from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) contains the Statutory Assessment Tests for the year 2003, and their associated mark schemes, which were taken during May in the final year of Key Stage Three. The papers are tiered to facilitate an optimum match of test to student, the tiers cover Levels 3-5, 4-6, 5-7 and 6-8.
In each tier there are three papers: the Mental Test which is given orally via a tape recording to ensure timings are consistent across schools, Paper 1 which has to be done without the aid of a calculator and Paper 2 where a calculator is allowed. Each written test lasts 60 minutes and together the tests cover the breadth of the National Curriculum Attainment Targets.
