Before the Big Bang
Produced by Nelson Thornes, this resource helps students look at aspects of how science works. In this activity students are given some information about the Large Hadron Collider and the Big Bang Theory. They are asked to analyse and interpret the secondary data and differentiate between theory and fact.
Students should have already studied the origins of the Universe and will be familiar with the observational evidence that supports the Big Bang Theory.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
