Gerry’s House
The Ginn Science story book Gerry’s House was written for students in Year Two (Primary Three) aged six to seven and published in 1988. It relates to the content strand ‘Materials and their uses’ and is intended for students to read independently. It tells the story of a boy bringing home a gerbil and keeping it in a cardboard box, from which it escaped by biting through the side. A strong plastic cage was brought to keep the gerbil in.
