Structures
Ginn Science level three students’ book Structures was written for students aged seven to eight years and published in 1989. It contains 24 pages and relates to the content strand ‘Materials and their uses’. Using full-colour illustrations, it explains how materials that seem weak can be used to produce strong ones. The importance of structure is illustrated by a story about the use of buttresses to support walls of buildings.
