Body Maintenance
Ginn Science level three students’ book Body Maintenance was written for students aged seven to eight years and published in 1989. It contains 24 pages and related to the content strand ‘Ourselves and healthy living’. Using full-colour illustrations, it begins with the importance of teeth for human and other animals, how to look after teeth and changes in dental practices. The story of the discovery of nitrous oxide by Humphry Davy is told in strip-cartoon style. Later sections concern the skin, hair and nails.
