Mass in Motion
This book was one in the Longman Physics Topics series. It was written to provide background material for the work on forces and motion in the Nuffield Physics course. This book was published in 1970 and so some of the laboratory equipment, applications and illustrations are dated. The Nuffield course used ticker timers to track motion and this approach features in the book with some data. There are images to show the use of multi-flash photography to observe free fall and projectile motion

HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
