Directory of Resources
This directory of resources published by Heinemann and the Association for Science Education listed materials produced by the Secondary Science Curriculum Review local groups and the Central Team. Some of the resources were commercially published, some were published by LEAs and others were distributed more informally.
Groups selected and defined their own development tasks, which were agreed by the Review's Central Team. The resultant materials were entered into the Directory at the request of the producing groups. The entries reflected the wide range of work and the many different approaches encompassed in the development tasks chosen. A number of groups produced syllabuses for GCSE. Some groups' course materials were taken up by schools across their county.

HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
