Unit 6 Probability
Theoretical and experimental frequencies and probabilities are emphasised in this MEP unit. It builds on earlier work on probability. An interesting source of materials here is the national lottery results.
Listings, tables and tree diagrams are used to calculate the probabilities of two events, pupils are encouraged to carry out their own experiments and comment on the results.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
