Promoted by the British Science Association, the annual National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) aims to celebrate all sciences and their importance in our everyday lives. It provides an opportunity for people of all ages across the UK to take part in science, engineering and technology events and activities.

This collection contains:
• a range of guides which will help with generating ideas for NSEW events, with guidance to help you get started and run an event;
• several activity packs from NSEW;
• a selection of other eLibrary resources to help you make the most of the 2012 theme for NSEW, 'World in Motion'.

More guides, case studies and resources for organisers are available at the British Science Association web site.

To find out about local events or to add an event to the National Science & Engineering week programme, register by completing this form.

HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
