Young Archaeologists' Club
The Young Archaeologists' Club (YAC) was established in 1972. It has grown since then and is now part of the Council for British Archaeology (CBA). The Club now has over 3,000 members across the UK and beyond who subscribe to the exclusive magazine Young Archaeologist. There are also around 70 local YAC Branches across the United Kingdom.
The activities in this collection provide interesting and engaging contexts to look at areas that include investigative skills, health, diet, design, technology and even engineering.
These resources have been contributed by the Young Archaeologists' Club (YAC). YAC is for young people who love archaeology and all things historic. Teachers can join YAC as a School member to receive great teaching ideas.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
