General Guidance for Teachers
The Learning Through Science project produced four books giving guidance on various aspects of the use of the materials. The first of these to be produced was a guide to producing a school policy on science, a tasks which was new to many schools at a time (1980) when science was still gaining a foothold in the primary curriculum. This book also includes a comprehensive index to the Units for teachers produced by the preceding Science 5/13 project. The second book provides advice on teaching science to children with learning difficulties, filling a need that became evidence as the value of science to all pupils was becoming evident. The third book discusses the nature, provision and storage of equipment for science within a school. The fourth is a general guide to the Learning Through Science project and an index to all its materials.
