Science Passport
This Planet Science resource provides an individual record of student achievements at Key Stage Two and therefore provides tangible information to Key Stage Three teachers to build upon that success. A choice of investigations and structured follow-up helps teachers to plan for a more effective primary to secondary transition. Three investigation topics are included, although teachers may wish to plan their own.
Students are asked to enter pages on personal data, reflect on science skills in the jobs done by family members, and keep a record, a visa, of their skills as they develop from Key Stage Two to Key Stage Three – an apparatus visa, a vocabulary visa, an investigations visa, and also record any science based trips they have made.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
