Ginn Science Homework Sheets Year Five
Ginn Science Homework Sheets are photocopy masters for setting science homework at Year Five (students aged 9 to 10 years). The tasks are practical activities that can be carried out at home with the support of parents or carers. Published in 1998, the links to the National Curriculum are to the 1995 revision. The homework sheets are correlated to Ginn Science and are organised into four sections: Sc1 Experimental and investigative science; Sc2 Life processes and living things; Sc3 Materials and their properties; and Sc4 Physical processes. Each sheet is structured in the same way, and the expectations are clearly defined. Some sheets contain an extension task, labelled 'extras', usually to be recorded on the back of the sheet. Teachers' notes and information for parents and carers support each sheet.

HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
