The Ginn Science topic book Water Power and Electricity is a 48 page information book for students aged 10 to 11 years, published in 1991. It describes two important kinds of energy: moving water which has been used to drive machines for hundreds of years; and electricity, which can be created by using moving water. It begins by providing examples, illustrated by full colour photographs, of striking examples of the power of moving water. It provides activities relating to the properties of water. The production of electricity from moving water is illustrated and other means of generating electricity are also described. Present and possible future uses of electricity envisaged at the time of publication are discussed.
