This main unit in the Ideas and Evidence pack from the Pupil Researcher Initiative is about drawing conclusions from evidence. Students consider how to decide whether or not scientific claims can be trusted. In the unit they consider the design of experiments with examples from television commercials which make scientific claims to persuade the public to buy things.
