The F1 in Schools Curriculum Resource provides guidance and material to set up a cross-curricular project in your school based around the F1 Class level of the F1 in Schools Technology Challenge (hereafter referred to as the F1 in Schools challenge). The material is intended to be used with students aged between 11 and 14. The resource can be used independently of the challenge, but to make full use of it, it is recommended that your school also participates in the challenge.

The overall aim of the project is to bring the excitement and motivation of Formula One™ racing to school whilst also delivering the curriculum in a real and meaningful way.

The F1 in Schools Curriculum Resource provides 70 lesson plans for staff to deliver a cross-curricular project through art and design, citizenship, design and technology, English, enterprise education, ICT, mathematics, PE and science.

The first sessions for science, maths, design and technology are provided here covering Streamlining, Calculating Speed and Specification.

HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment. Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date. Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work. Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
