Harnessing Technology
Produced by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), these case studies describe work done by practitioners to harness technology in STEM teaching and learning.
The projects, drawn from organisations across the FE and skills sector, demonstrate a wide variety of both technology available and approaches to embedding it in learning, including:
• Social networking
• Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs)/ Moodles
• Cutting-edge equipment
• Online surveys
• Student video reports
• Multimedia resources
• Innovative practicals.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
