Building Bonanza
From the Science Museum, this interactive game is a good way to engage students in thinking about the materials, and other factors, needed to make a more sustainable house of the future. Students are given choices over things such as building materials, heating, lighting, construction and insulation. This gives students an opportunity to think about and discuss the different options. It is a good starter activity to generate ideas on a range of topics including insulation, energy sources and sustainable development.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Any use of a resource that includes a practical activity must include a risk assessment.
Please note that collections may contain ARCHIVE resources, which were developed at a much earlier date.
Since that time there have been significant changes in the rules and guidance affecting laboratory practical work.
Further information is provided in our Health and Safety guidance.
