Earth Science Teachers' Association Conference (ESTA) 2011

ESTA 2011 will be hosted by the Department of Earth Sciences at Durham University. The conference is aimed at all those that teach Earth Sciences, at all levels from Primary to HE. The programme will include:

- Interactive workshops dealing with a wide variety of Earth Science topics using Durham's state-of-the-art facilities;
- Keynote lectures focusing on the energy crisis, featuring ESTA President Prof. John Gluyas discussing Carbon Capture and Storage and Director of the Durham Energy Institute Prof. Richard Davies discussing Energy;
- Field trips visiting the North Pennines AONB (a UNESCO European and Global Geopark) and other global type localities.

All sessions will be accessible to those without a background in Earth Sciences; in addition, special workshops for primary teachers will be available on Saturday 2 July.
