Regional information sessions are a great chance for anyone to find out more about National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) first hand, get hold of a whole range of resources and exchanges ideas with other organisers in your area.
This year's National Science and Engineering Week will take place from 9 - 18 March 2012, and will have 'Our World in Motion' as its theme.
There are numerous reasons to take part in NSEW, including:
- a great time to plan dedicated activity for a week and benefit from the support offered by the British Science Association
- tell the public and the media about your work to raise your profile locally
- align your organisation with a well-established national campaign for the sciences and engineering
- fun and motivational for your staff and can help develop new skills
Attending one of these regional warm-up information sessions enables delegates to find out about:
- Funding hints and tips
- Hands-on activity ideas
- Details of the 2012 theme and mass participation activities
- Free resources for organisers
- Additional NSEW projects you can take part in
- What other organisations / schools are doing and brainstorm their ideas
