Learning Together Mathematics: a free professional development opportunity for secondary maths teachers

England (Yorkshire & the Humber)

25.06.2011

The Mathematics Education Centre at Sheffield Hallam University is offering a unique professional development opportunity to a small group of up to ten secondary mathematics teachers. This group will support each other in developing strategies and formats to promote student discussion and collaboration. The project is intended to lead to a publication about collaborative learning in secondary mathematics that will showcase the work of group members. To do this you will collect materials and keep an audio and/or video diary. A small honorarium will be paid for contributing to the publication. In addition a contribution to travel expenses is available to those who are unable to get financial support from their school for expenses for participation.

Delegates will attend three separate CPD sessions on 25 June 2011, 12 November 2011 and 3 March 2012 at Sheffield Hallam University.

There is no charge for the professional development project.
